Position Overview
The Business Development Representative is responsible for generating new business opportunities, building relationships with potential clients, and promoting the financial services marketing solutions offered by FiComm. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in expanding the agency's client base and driving revenue growth, by working directly with the sales and marketing team. This role reports directly to the Chief of Growth.
Responsibilities & Expectations
Prospecting and Lead Generation:
- Research and identify potential clients within the financial services
- Use various channels, such as online research, social media, and industry events, to generate
- Qualify leads based on their needs, budget, and fit with FiComm’s
Client Outreach & Industry Events:
- Initiate and maintain contact with potential clients via email, phone calls, and in-person
- Attend industry events and serve as an on-site ambassador of FiComm for business
- Create pre and post event strategic plans; manage and track all follow ups and
- Clearly articulate the agency's services, value proposition, and competitive
Needs Assessment:
- Understand the unique marketing needs and challenges of prospective clients in the financial services industry.
- Alongside leadership team, conduct in-depth consultations to uncover client’s growth opportunities and goals.
Assist with Sales Pitch Deck Development:
- Assist the Chief of Growth and Strategic Leads, with developing customized marketing proposals and presentations tailored to the client's specific needs.
- Ensure how the agency's services can address the client's challenges and meet their objectives is clear in pitch decks.
Relationship Building:
- Establish and nurture long-term relationships with prospects and clients, building trust and
- Partnering with Leadership Team, provide insights and recommendations to
Collaboration with Sales and Marketing Teams:
- Work closely with the agency's sales and marketing teams to align strategies and optimize lead generation efforts.
- Provide feedback to the marketing team to improve lead quality and conversion
Pipeline Management:
- Maintain an organized and up-to-date pipeline of leads and
- Track and report on sales activities, progress, and
Client Follow-Up:
- Continuously follow up with prospective clients to address their questions, concerns, and
- Overcome objections to advance the sales
Market Research:
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and regulatory changes in the financial services
- Leverage market insights to adapt sales
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Business Development Representative
- Minimum of 2-3 years sales experience
- Creative and energetic personality with start-up mentality
- Experience with/interest in financial advice preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with knowledge of HubSpot preferred
- Demonstrated ability and desire to learn new concepts
- Eager to be coached
- Commitment to self-improvement and success
- Team player with a collaborative orientation
- Ability to remain organized and execute in a fast-paced environment
- Tenacious and committed to exceeding targets
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Salary range $60k-$80k based on professional experience and proven track record.
