Position Overview
We are looking for an incredible storyteller, who is highly organized, adaptable, and a proactive copywriter to support FiComm's integrated Marketing+ PR services -- which includes support of FiComm's agency clients as well as our own marketing. The Copywriter will be responsible for performing research and producing engaging, clear text across multiple methods including biogs, case studies, articles, whitepapers, Q&A's, award submissions, thought leadership pieces, press releases, media alerts, etc
They should also have a deep understanding of how SEO impacts organic traffic and have the capability to turn complicated financial industry language and distilling it into an easy-to understand conversational tone. To be successful, they will need to use skills in copywriting, copy proofing, editorial reviews, reviewing and deciphering feedback from clients and FiComm team members. Their duties include researching keywords, producing interesting written content, and proofreading their work for accuracy and quality.
Responsibilities & Expectations
- Writing clear and error-free content for FiComm and clients that reflects the company's voice
- Proposing copy concepts in an engaging way for clients and carrying out projects once they are approved
- Interpreting creative direction and technical information and turning them into persuasive copy concepts
- Implement SEO best practices
- Collaborating with PR and Marketing departments to brainstorm and develop a variety of marketing materials
- Communicates effectively both verbally and in writing and can communicate within a cross functional team
- Open to constructive feedback and determined to meet client and company expectations for copywriting projects
- Must be a highly organized, self-starter, and have an aptitude for tracking multiple deliverables against tight deadlines
- Follow marketing and financial services industry trends and best practices affecting the agency and clients
- Financial services industry experience preferable, as well as a proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced agency environment
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or other related fields
- 5-8 years of prior experience in communications and/or marketing
- 2-3 years of experience in the financial industry/ wealth management space
- Experience producing copy for digital media channels and print
- Proven success in producing copy for client campaigns
- Experience with SEO concepts and social media marketing
- Exceptional verbal, writing, editing, research, and intrapersonal skills
- Hyper-organized professional with proven project management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, Salesforce, Trello, and HubSpot
