Matt Matilsky is a Communications Consultant in FiComm’s New York City office. He has three years of public relations experience, both in-house and at an agency, in addition to a stint recruiting PR talent as a corporate headhunter. He developed a taste for journalism in college, where he majored in media relations and was a regular contributor to the school paper. Areas of expertise include writing, media relations, media coaching, analysis, and strategy.
Prior to joining FiComm in 2017, Matt was a headhunter with Madison Black, identifying PR talent on behalf of leading agencies – including FiComm Partners – nationwide. Prior to Madison Black, he was managing corporate communications for Eastern Union Funding, a real estate company.
Born and raised in New Jersey, Matt attended college locally at Rutgers University, earning his bachelors in Communications and Media Studies. Matt rowed crew in college and continues to channel his energy daily through Crossfit, running, and the New York Times crossword app.
